Maison Martin Margiela for h&m

I am absolutely overcome with excitement for the Margiela for h&m collection to hit stores on November 15th. As past collaborations with h&m, such as Versarce, Marni and Lanvin sold out within minutes, i'm going to make sure i'm either queuing up on Oxford street or sitting staring at my computer screen in anticipation for the launch. It's almost as exciting as trying to purchase Glastonbury tickets, although hopefully i will be more successful in this.
This collection is true to Margiela's signature style, turning to everything from duvets to candy wrappers for inspiration. Or rather, turning them into actual garments. The silhouettes are oversized and beautifully tailored, with some garments made up of two deconstructed separates, such as the 'glove-clutch'. I especially love the fusion of two separate style of dresses, making a unique asymmetric shape.
Here is a preview of the collection:

you can see the rest of the collection here and visit the h&m website here (collection available from the 15th Nov 2012)

Pudseys makeover

A certain bear will be looking chic for this years Children In Need, as British Vogue have been asked to design their very own Pudsey. Collaborating with Christopher Kane, Paul Stratton and up-and-coming designer Ashley Williams, Vogue have created the most luxurious Pudsey yet. With a body of Vogues most iconic covers, paws of crimson velvet and sparking Swarovski crystals for eyes, Pudsey exhibits an outfit most girls would die for.
Vogue editor Francesca Burns says ''He is both a tribute to the legacy of iconic cover images created by legendary photographers and editors over the past 96 years, and to the talent, dedication and generosity of our friends''.
Pudsey will be actioned off in aid of Children In Need, and i can bet my life he will be a bear well loved whoever he ends up going home with.
